Is there any prospect of current/future development on this project? The concept is interesting, and based on recent upgrades to TT ADL, it seems that there's a market need for it. Maybe the recent acquisition announcements will kick start the project? Anton, any news?

Hi,

as you may already know, we've got our freedom back from QH, which means that we can develop and sell whatever we want. This is a good news indeed, but on the other hand this also means that we don't get any financial support from QH any longer, which, consequently, means that we have to rebuild our business almost from ground zero. Thus our primary goal at the moment is to revive a complete set of our well known products and offer an end-to-end solution for algo traders http://www.smartquant.com/products.php

As for VQ, we believe it's a pertty interesting product, but it's too hard for us to develop two large projects (primary product line and VQ) with our current development resources. So our plan is to recover SQ business with existing product line and then invest into VQ R&D. We can also think about external financing in case someone is interested in immediate take-off.

Regards,
Anton

Why don't you merge the two products where SQ gets gradually evolves to VQ like development also?

Hi,

indeed this would be nice and we have this on our strategic product development list, but it's a long way to go.

Anton

Hi,

With competition Deltix and ADL you would be a step backwards without VQ. VQ is becoming a necessity not an option.
