Hi!

I’m trying out OpenQuant2 demo (Version 2.6.4) and when connecting to eSignal under Market Data, and am consistently getting an error message that reads:
“OpenQuant 2- Properties - Unhandled exception has occurred in your application with the Exception Text given below.

The “unhandled exception error has occurred numerous times since I started my evaluation, when selecting other program functions including the “Getting Started guide for example. I find this somewhat disconcerting as it seems either the operating system is missing something or this build of the OpenQuant is really unstable.

The following is the context environment that OpenQuant2 was installed:
-Windows2003 Server – SBS, SP2, installed on a virtualized machine
-MDAC2.8
-Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2, 3.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1

To double check on the install, I did it again on a separate machine which was also configured in the same way, with the same “unhandled exception errors.

I've also attached for your reference the Loaded Assemblies list from the exception report.

Any thoughts on what to do to remedy this?

Neo

Hi,

Since eSignal team does not support .NET 2.0 or higher officially, we
cannot support eSignal plugin.
Please, read this thread from their forum:
http://forum.esignalcentral.com/printth ... perpage=19

As far as I know there is no any changes at the moment.

Regards,
Alex

I'm trying to connect MB trading using the default demo account but am getting the same error. Does OQ support MB trading connectivity ? I'm using a x64 OS.

Thanks,

Neo

Hi,

I'm not sure that you get the _same_ error, because the stack trace above is related to eSignal only. Could you post error details here?

Regards,
Alex
